Basics on
Cinema 4D

Having skills on 3D visualization is no longer a privilege of professionals, but an essential tool. For a graphic designer, it is an opportunity to explore new facets of their creativity. For an animator, it is a good chance to escape fake 3D and create more precise and delicate artworks. For an artist or an illustrator, it is a way to dramatically boost their workflow with the help of scene sketches in 3D as well as to generate dozens of interesting angles and scenes in a couple of minutes. Moreover, 3D software nowadays is user-friendly and available to everyone. Generally speaking, if you haven't worked with 3D packages, this will be a real adventure for you :) We have created this course in such a way that it will put you in the picture as soon as possible even if you are new to this. You will learn polygonal modeling as well as 3D animation, and you'll even create a real explosion. As a result, you will be equipped with a powerful tool, and you will know what to do with it.

Your life won't be the same anymore. In a good way, of course ;)

Those who want to master Cinema 4D "deadline yesterday"

The world is no longer divided into 2D and 3D, and we are well aware of this. Everything mixes, styles and techniques intermingle, and the results look very cool. This mini-course is designed to lead you to your long-cherished goal as quickly as possible.

Illustrators, Graphic and Motion Designers

Who want to expand their professional range of skills
You will no longer need to draw a perspective grid, spend hours on complex gradients and shadows, or create fake 3D and 2D layers - all this is a waste of time if you have basic skills in Cinema 4D. If you feel like your talent is too big for a two-dimensional space and you want to upgrade your workflow, this course is definitely for you.

Course Curriculum

The course is designed to effectively introduce you to the basic stages of working with Cinema 4D, even if you have never done this before.
1. Hardcore introduction to Cinema 4D
In this lesson, you will learn the key elements of the interface. Also, you will figure out how to create simple shapes with the help of geometric primitives, splines, deformers, and modifiers.
2. Preparing for animation
Now, when you already have a 3D model, it is time to think about its future. In this lesson, you will figure out how to prepare a model for animation and how to control everything with the help of tags and deformers.
3. It's time for Animation
It has taken us so long (not that long, actually) to get here and here we are. In this lesson, you will learn tools to animate your 3D scene. Here you'll explore animation curves, keyframes, tips and tricks, and everything you need to bring any static scene to life.
4. Simulation
No, it isn't the same as when your mom wakes you up, but you feel too lazy to get up and go to animate. 3D simulation is a powerful tool for creating difficult and complex animations. Let's just blow up something in Cinema 4D.
    5. Materials and render
In this most satisfying lesson, you will learn the most important thing, that is, how to extract your scenes from Cinema 4D, so that they will definitely be visually pleasing. Work with materials properly and adjust your render correctly - and all the work won't be in vain.

What students say about our courses and school

I'm from Ukraine. I am a professional 3D artist, and I have been doing computer graphics for over 15 years.

Having received a degree in architecture, I was still keen on games and movies and wanted to create graphics for the coolest projects in the world. During my career, I have learned a lot and took part in amazing projects, created graphics for cinematics and movies, worked in some of the most powerful VFX studios such as UPP and MPC.

And now I want to share my knowledge and experience with you.

    Frequently asked questions

Will this course work for me if I know nothing about 3D modelling?
Just fine! This course will be very useful for newcomers who want to start their career in CG.
What kind of software do I need?
We`ll work only with Cinema 4D. You can find Cinema4D here. The trial version will be sufficient to work with for some time, but we highly recommend buying a license.
Do I need to buy any additional scripts or plugins to complete the course?
No, there's no need, as all the software you need has a student license or trials.
How long does it take to successfully complete the course?
Up to 1 week. This is an online course so you can take your time with lessons and practice tasks.
    Are there any discounts?
If no presale or discount activities are happening, you can contact us to receive a $50-off coupon. We provide coupons for countries with not-so-good exchange rates and for students.

We consider a country with a not-so-good exchange rate a country, where the currency rate is more than $1 to 10 units of local currency. For example, 10.5 Botswana Pula equals $1. If your country's currency rate is lower than 1:10, we do not consider your country as a country with a not so good exchange rate.

We consider you a student if you have a valid student email address (@***.edu) and/or a valid student ID. Please either write to us from your student email or attach a picture of your student IDso that we can verify your student status.

Please double check if there are any presale, sales or discount activities happening as we do not provide coupons during these periods.
    Can I get a refund?
If you're disappointed for whatever reason, you'll get every cent back within 14 days after the purchase. Whether you select to complete the purchase in a single or in several payments.

Note that it only applies to purchases without a discount. So if you would like to use a discount coupon or complete a purchase of several products with a discount, you will be not eligible for the refund.
Can I share the art that I create during the course?
Yes, all the artwork you create on the course belongs to you. You can share and tweet and dribbble whatever animation you create. We would be grateful if you mention our school while sharing, we have @motiondesignschool accounts almost on every network.
What if my level of English is not good enough and I find it difficult to understand the spoken language?
This course has subtitles, which makes the content easier for understanding and lets you check the unknown words in the dictionary, if needed.
